Palladium Creative Fellowships

Mission Statement

The Palladium Creative Fellowships support and foster artistically and culturally diverse performing artists, provides a full-service theater as a space to develop their work, and showcases the range of talent that lives and works in our community. The goal of the Creative Fellowship program is to elevate artists in our community and give audiences an insight into their creative projects and performance goals.

About the Palladium Creative Fellowships

The Palladium Creative Fellowships offer financial support up to $2,500 to local artists to develop new creative projects. The Palladium aims to support performers in our community as they create new works, advance existing works, implement new media, and/or develop new ideas.

Palladium Creative Fellowship Benefits

  • Up to $2,500 in unrestricted funds to support project development*
  • Selected projects may be offered a performance date at the Palladium*
  • Additional funding available for projects selected for a Palladium performance date
  • Networking opportunities with other current and past creative fellows and community arts leaders.
  • Access to Palladium staff and resources (marketing, tech, administration, etc) to support project.

In-kind value of full Palladium services is valued at approximately $5,500.

Palladium retains ticket revenue for any Creative Fellowship projects selected for performance.

*Stipend amount determined by selection committee upon review of application and scope of project. Performance dates and additional funding are offered at the discretion of the Palladium Executive Director based on each individual project and its parameters.

Palladium Creative Fellowship Eligibility:

  • Applicants must live in the following counties:
    • Pinellas
    • Hillsborough
    • Manatee
    • Sarasota
  • Projects must be in one of the following genres:
    • Jazz
    • Blues
    • Dance
    • Opera
    • Classical Music
    • Chamber Music
    • Contemporary Music
    • World Music
    • Pop/Rock
    • Singer/Songwriter
  • Applicants may submit more than one application for different project proposals.
  • Past Fellowship/Creative Class members may only receive a fellowship in 2 consecutive years*

*If a group/band you were in was previously awarded a fellowship, you may still apply as an individual or with a different group/band; likewise, if you were previously awarded a fellowship as an individual, you may apply as part of a group/band. 

Applications are due by Monday, Oct. 7 at 11:59pm.
